Thanks for everyone’s feedback regarding the long syncing time when opening CLE Mobile.  We understand this is a huge inconvenience and have been working to fix it.   Here are some of the things we’re doing to speed up syncing time:

• CLE Mobile will only be syncing changed or new discussion posts rather than entire discussion forums.
• Previously, a check was being made from the server side to see if a program material file existed.  The check was causing a substantial delay in the sync.  Now the check is a property that can be turned on or off.  If a program file does not exist, it will be handled more gracefully by the app and alleviate syncing issues.
• Finally, in the previous versions, program information was pulled each time the app was synced, regardless of whether there were changes to the information or not.  This was drastically increasing the sync time.  Now CLE Mobile will only pull program information if there were changes to it.

All of these improvements will take effect in the next release, scheduled for March, 2011.  Please bear with us until then.  Thanks for your patience!
